Community Service

At RPCNS, we believe that teaching our children to be good stewards of our community is a part of our jobs as parents.  RPCNS families lead by example in completing an array of community service projects throughout the year.

Some examples of our community service activities include:

  • Collection of gently used or new stuffed animal drive for the City of Rockville Police Department to be passed out to children when they visit or when police are called to their houses
  • Food drive for Manna Food Bank
  • “Fresh Fruit Fridays”- classes take turns collecting fresh fruit for the Rainbow Place Women’s Shelter every Friday through the school year
  • Making and hanging decorations for Rainbow Place Women’s Shelter for different holidays
  • Diaper Drive for DC Diaper Bank
  • Making “Comfort Cases” for children entering foster care, and
  • Trike-A-Thon to benefit St. Jude’s Hospital Children’s Hospital.

Additional community service projects may vary year to year based on the input and interest of the current families.

RPCNS has been an amazing first school experience for both my child and me. I love getting to watch her learn and grow and know that I am part of that process, too.
