Arts Barn - City of Gaithersburg
The Arts Barn offers art classes for children and adults, summer camp, live performances and Preschool Songs and Stories on Tuesdays from 11-11:45.

Brookside Gardens
Introduce your child to plants and instill a lasting love of gardening and the many facets of protecting our environment by enrolling in one of their workshops.  They also offer storytime ad crafts each Saturday morning to encourage a child’s imagination and creativity.

Cabin John Ice Rink
Looking for something fun, healthy and affordable to do with your toddler? Come ice skating! You and your toddler can skate for just $3.50 (includes admission and skate rental for you both). Additional tots (ages 4 and under) can skate with you for $3.50 each. Grade school age siblings and/or additional adults, pay regular admission and skate rental prices. Wednesdays and Fridays mornings from 10:15 to 11:15am.

Croyden Creek Nature Center
Filled with excitement and discovery, the nature center highlights nature in the urban setting. Interesting exhibits and informative programs provide educational opportunities to help visitors understand the importance of "thinking globally and acting locally."

Glen Echo Park
The Puppet Co. presents “Tiny Tots @ 10:00,” a program designed for our youngest theater patrons (ages 0 - 4).  The shows are shorter, the lights stay on, the doors stay open, and everyone has a great time! Running time is 30 minutes and occur on Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays through March.

Meadowside Nature Center
Located in Rock Creek Regional Park, Meadowside Nature Center offers hands-on natural and cultural history programs.  The Curiosity Corner discovery room contains books, games, puzzles, and more live animals for young naturalists to explore nature in child-friendly environment. 

Montgomery County Department of Recreation

Montgomery County Public Libraries
Local branches have story times for toddlers, preschool and school-aged children. Many have discovery play rooms that can be reserved for an hour of private use. And, of course, books! 

The National Museum of Play
This indoor facility mixes education and creative play in the venue of a cityscape. It offers hands-on play, song and story times as well as arts and crafts for children 9 months to 14 years of age.
