The primary focus in our curriculum for this age group lies in the realm of social skills.  For so many of the little ones this is their first experience away from mom or dad for any length of time.  We help the children to overcome any separation anxiety they may have by preparing both the child and the parent for the transition to the classroom experience; creating comfortable, predictable routines in our classes; being sensitive to each transition the children are making when changing from one activity to another, and providing an engaging, stimulating environment in which the children can learn.  The children develop a trusting relationship with their teacher, become familiar with the classroom routines and sequence of activities and begin to display helpful classroom skills. As the year progresses and the children feel more comfortable, their language skills in particular expand.

We have a curriculum planned for our Twos with seasonally appropriate and related activities.  We provide a sensory rich environment in which the children are provided with many opportunities to paint, play at a water table or with play dough, various types of blocks, trucks, dolls, puzzles, and toys.  Our goal is to foster learning through play.

Parents can expect to co-op in their child's class 1 to 3 times a month.
