RPCNS is a part-time, parent-run, cooperative that provides nursery school classes for children aged 2, 3, and 4. Created in 1963, RPCNS was established by a group of parent parishioners from the Rockville Presbyterian Church. In 1969, the State of Maryland Department of Education granted fully accredited status, signified with a Certificate of Approval, to our school as a non-public nursery school. We separately incorporated from the Rockville Presbyterian Church as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 1985. RPCNS continues to offers high-quality, secular, preschool education under the guidance of an experienced director and qualified teachers. RPCNS welcomes children of all faiths, nationalities and races.
RPCNS is fully licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care and is approved by the State of Maryland (#50012). RPCNS is a member of the Potomac Association of Cooperative Teachers (PACT) and of Parent Cooperative Preschools International (PCPI).
