Fours Teacher

Our licensed, non-public, cooperative nursery school is looking for a caring, personable and energetic teacher for our Four-Year-Old/Pre-K class.  


When?  This position will be available in August 2023 for the 2023-24 school year with the option to continue.  This is a part-time position, for five mornings a week.  Our school calendar essentially follows MCPS with regards to holidays, school vacations, snow days and delayed openings.
Days & Hours?  Monday through Friday mornings, from 9:15 to 1:30 p.m., plus a monthly staff meeting.
Qualifications?  A qualified applicant must have a B.A. or B.S. in Early Childhood Education or an undergraduate degree plus the 90 Hour Early Childhood Education certification, and meet Office of Child Care requi
rements by the start of employment.  Experience in a cooperative nursery school is preferred.

At RPCNS, a teacher works with the parent members of her students, who function in their child’s class as the teacher assistant, on a regularly scheduled, rotating basis.  Our school’s philosophy is centered on learning through play, with emphasis placed on developing a child’s social and emotional skills through a combination of structured and unstructured activities.  
 

Director

Our licensed, non-public, cooperative nursery school is looking for a caring, personable and energetic Director.


When? This position will be available in July 2023 for the 2023-24 school year with the option to continue. This is a
part-time position, with flexible hours mostly during the school year. Our school calendar essentially follows MCPS with
regards to holidays, school vacations, snow days and delayed openings.
Days & Hours? Monday through Friday, during the school day, plus monthly staff meetings, monthly Board meetings,
etc.
Qualifications? A qualified applicant must meet the requirements specified in COMAR 13A.16.06.05.A. – C., COMAR
13A.16.06.06.A-F and COMAR 13A.16.16.06.A, which includes having a B.A. or B.S. in Early Childhood Education or an
undergraduate degree plus the 90 Hour Early Childhood Education certification, the 45 Hour Director – Administration
Certificate, and at least two years teaching experience with preschoolers. Experience in a cooperative nursery school is
preferred.

At RPCNS our teachers and administrative staff work with the parent members, who both function in their child’s class
